Behind 'Audio Porn': The R&B Album I Made to Make You Feel Something Real
By Nina Capone · October 5, 2026Weekly · Editorial Assist

Let me clear something up right now: 'Audio Porn' isn't what you think it is. When I named this album, I wasn't trying to shock anybody or be raunchy for clicks. I was trying to name the truth about what good R&B does to you when it's made right — it gets inside you, it touches something deep, it makes you feel things you forgot you could feel. That's what I wanted this project to do.
I made 'Audio Porn' from a completely different emotional place than 'Ova 40,' my rap album. 'Ova 40' came from the street-hardened, tell-it-like-it-is side of me. 'Audio Porn' came from the softer place — the woman who still believes in romance, who knows what it feels like to crave touch and connection, who understands that intimacy isn't just physical. It's spiritual. It's the way a voice can wrap around you in the dark and make you remember you're alive.
I recorded most of these songs late at night in my home studio, headphones on, lights low, just me and the mic. I wasn't performing for a crowd. I was singing to one person at a time — to you, to whoever needed to hear it. Every vocal run, every breath, every moment I let my voice crack a little because the emotion was real — that was intentional. I wanted you to feel like I was right there in the room with you.
The production is warm, live instrumentation where I could afford it, carefully chosen samples where I couldn't. I worked with a few trusted collaborators who understood the vibe I was going for: grown, sensual, honest. Not the hyper-polished pop-R&B you hear on the radio, but something with texture and soul. Something that sounds like late-night slow jams your parents used to play, updated for where we are now — over 40, still got needs, still got heart.
The title 'Audio Porn' is about seduction through sound. It's about how the right melody, the right lyric, the right tone in a singer's voice can awaken something in you that nobody's touched in a long time. It's not explicit for the sake of it — it's intimate. There's a difference. I wanted to create an experience, not just an album. Something you put on when you want to feel close to someone, or when you need to reconnect with yourself.
What do I want you to feel when you listen? I want you to slow down. I want you to remember that you're more than the grind, more than the hustle, more than the roles you play every day. I want you to feel desired, seen, held — even if it's just by the music. And if you're missing someone or longing for connection, I want these songs to sit with you in that space without judgment.
This album is for the grown folks who still believe in love, still want passion, still need music that speaks to the fullness of who we are. 'Audio Porn' is my R&B offering to you — unfiltered, unapologetic, and made with every piece of my heart. I hope it moves you the way making it moved me.
You can stream 'Audio Porn' now on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, or wherever you listen. Put your headphones on, turn the lights down, and let it take you somewhere. Then come back and tell me what you felt — I want to know.
